Anyone lost a 'probably 70's Vintage' Planet X Kaffenback?
-
• #78
Clearly Planet X further ahead of the game than I gave them credit for with the disc brakes and stuff.
-
• #79
Haha have you seen the seller's other items? A bit off a telly, some smartphone and a massive bit of IT/office hardware, seller obvs has no idea what it is.
-
• #80
He doesn't even know his left from his right, I give him some credit for knowing what a bike is.
-
• #81
Really interesting... damaged selector ?
-
• #82

Newton Heath is like a BSI Kitemark Standard for Theft.
-
• #86
Bike with petrol driven assist. Seems legit.
-
• #87
That's amazing, them off brand china brakes are well known for delivering good stopping power at 50mph+ too.
-
• #88
@clockwise I'd go for the NOS and turbo version I'm so confident in its stopping power. I think the positioning of the exhaust and 999 with Michael Buerk chain tensioner completes this fine machine. Up there with the bloke that fell in the chippy fryer...
-
• #89
Hah yeah wtf ‘NOS and turbo available’ ... nutty
-
• #90
Holy shit
-
• #91
It’s easy to stop, you can push a button.

Sooo bought a CAAD9 frameset with a 105 5600 groupset advertised as having a bent chainring. Picked it up last night and the crankset spider is bent as both chainrings are skewy in the same place... Paid 130... Return..?
-
• #94
You can pick up a chainset cheap on here if you ask in the wanted bit, in fact any of the other bits too, mention a budget. £130 is good for a CAAD9. I'd soldier on.
-
• #95
Cheers. Picked up another bike so will resell.
-
• #97
Think this thread is about bikes with dodgy provenance, not dodgy-looking bikes.

Lol. Fair cop.

So-
Here's some greedy fucker relisting, without mentioning the cracked seat tube, a frameset I know and have knowledge of. I sold it , and took it as a return about 2 years ago on this site.
He's listed the thomson seat post that went with it.
has he got anything to say?explain? clown. -

@brangatang Cant see anywhere is actually states that its a Supercorsa. They've just tagged the brands which have components on the bike. Cinelli bars and stem etc.
