Can't have an open flame for some reasons... wife with asthma, CO.
Not concerned about turning down the heat at the correct time and rate. I'm basically looking for a heat source that is more consistent than my coil-top range and uses less power to do the job.
I’ve recently picked up a couple of ‘Top Moka’ aluminum pots and have been quite taken with them, also the reason for my interest in the lab hot plates is their smaller size and power usage. I have 2 sizes of the Bialetti ‘Kona’ pots and they’re nice.
