Sadly, even if I had the $90k spare for the RRP that wouldn't help me because the yellow gold and white gold versions sell for over double RRP and are as close to you get as invitation only as you can get for a Rolex.

I don't think you can go wrong with Junghans. I'd try to pick one up on a watch forum, shouldn't be too hard to find

Yes that's the one (SARB033/5), I got it from eBay for £270 new posted and does seem every part the poor man's Grand Seiko.

Good idea, the SARB is more of an allround watch than the SKX. Fits both dressy and casual :)
