I feel like we're getting a bit more light in the evening recently...

Was hoping this thread would get a bumping. First ride should be next Thursday by my calculations. Still be in the pitch black though which is just how it should be.

I'm aching just thinking about it

My right knee is somewhat sensitive these days and the dyno hub on the fixed gear looks as if it's bust. If I come I'll be on gears :/

Oops I totally missed these posts and thought we were still a few weeks away until someone reminded me about the clock change yesterday! Is @middleofnowhere still alive?
Shit KT that looks like a boxfresh plaster cast right there, I guess that means you have at least 6 weeks to go?

Hmmmmmmm. Off on family holiday on Friday. Early start. Much packing. Child wrangling to be done.
Thursday night, you say?

Okay, my knee is definitely not in the best possible shape, but I should be able to handle 40/60km on gears. I'll just be slow (and carry the beers innit)

Would love to ride some of these again.
Easy peasy ones, obvs.

Doc said I’ve got a torn miniscus when I went to visit him on Thursday. Physio starting soon but 5 hills is almost certainly out.
I’ve been getting a design together for TNRC mudflaps with YALs consultation and 6pt’s green light to use bits of the current jersey artwork. Will cost less than a tenner and come with hardware. List?

Woah there, I seem to have over-hibernated this year. Truth of the matter is, while I've come out of it in better shape than the Blue Peter tortoises I've got a few aches and pains I need to nurse.
22nd was supposed to be the opener but I didn't put up a ride as the weather was looking pretty sketchy ahead of time (tho I think it would have been a splendid early season evening after all) and also I felt in no shape to take on the 5 Hills.
So how about we drop everything back a week? How sensible is it trying to get bikes on trains the Thursday of the Easter weekend? How many want to ride the 5 Hills (gonna come clean on this, I probably won't)? Where should the question mark actually go in that last sentence?
The re-schedule would then put the softies start at Roydon on the 12th April which I would attend (Arsenal are away to CSKA so I would attend, possible while listening to the game on the radio). Or do you want to do the 5 Hills on the 5th and run fortnightly from there? (Arsenal home game on the 5th gives me legit excuse not to ride and I get to watch the return leg on telly).
So, as you can see, I'm turning this into being all about me again, please, all and any of you, feel free to step in and stop that.

My vote is to push things back a week with the first ride as Roydon. After which we'll have the courage to do the 5 Hills (at some point)?

I'm with YAL. We could do the five hills when it's actually sunny so we could see some of it.
Can't do this Thursday but can do next.
@jaeyukdapbap and @cgg - nurse those knees! Sounds rubbish. Mines grumbling too after i skied into a tree but seems to like cycling, which is lucky.
