Can't get my head around even clearing a chain with a 2.25 on the back like that!
-
• #3355
I know what you mean
-

Should be sweet if it's 1x but if you put a road chainset on the front that's gotta hit in the easy gears...
-
• #3357
Mine doesn’t hit the chain with 2.3 on the Arkose with a road double chainset.
Admittedly The clearance is a little too tight (wheel still spin) but can’t see why it can’t be done.

Also are they the same forks genesis use?
Me and Alb might have co-operated a bit there
edit, as he already alluded to ... I spent your check tho : )

Just the colour of the reflective tabs. Coming soon to an FWE range near you, edscoble.
Took me 2 winters and a TNR in between to break a rear that only had the lower stay fitted - good guards. Plastic fittings aren't exactly hojo style but they do release OK when sticks jam in there. -

You would not believe how many back-and-forth emails it took to get the CL lockring clearance added.
I discovered some of those fork made it out into the mainland after trying to get a TRP Centerlock rotor to work with I from a boxed bicycle.

guys, 3 major reasons to go for an Arkose 3 over a Sonder Camino AL Hydro V2...GO!
(been mulling over an arkose for weeks but now thinking I could save some benjamins by going for the Camino instead and get a similar biek)
-
• #3363
Arkose looks better, has better reviews, is virtually the same price, you can trial ride for size at any Evans shops, shimano is easier and cheaper to maintain
-
• #3364
agreed on all points, except price wise aren't we looking at 749 vs 1249??
-
• #3366
Arkose 2? Same shifter. Just 10 speed and alu steerer.
-
• #3367
Agree with lots of this. But on the other hand, Camino comes in better paintjobs, Shimano hydro shifters are fugly, Camino can take a front rack, and you can customise it in a way that Evans won't let you, eg. get it with 650b wheels and tyres for little or no extra.

I really want to love the Arkose 2 but - again, I don't think that turquoise blue on the evans site does it any favours...for me anyways :)
-
• #3369
For 749 you get cable brakes I think... Not liking the external cables on the sonder, cleaning that is always a pain
-
• #3370
I don't think the datum would work very well with 650s , looking at mine I think you'd struggle to get more than 35 in due to the chainstay shaping. Happy to be told otherwise

Time for a 'Gravel bike (anything other than an Arkrose)' thread?
-
• #3372
This thread is still for all gravel bikes. It’s just that us forumers in the real world have a budget :)
