For estate agents, or actually?
-
• #628
actually, great focal length, focuses really fast and tiny and light. Only minor vignetting at open aperture.

Would agree, this lens was on the X-Pro2 about 90% of the time. Hit the spot nearly all the time.

Does anyone have a 5D Mk1 kicking about that they want to get rid of?

Interesting, thanks. £650 for the 14mm, plus the cheap suit and shiny shoes of course.
-
• #643
Yeah I guess that's a lot of money / you will have good reasons to spend that much on a super wide angle prime.
Seems to be a really good lens though!

It’s probably my favourite lens on my X-Pro2. It’s a bit large for street use - although the size means people assume it must be a tele and that you’re not photographing them because you’re not pointing it directly at them, so you can actually shoot pretty close and not freak people out. But it’s not as easy to handle as one of the dinky new f2 lenses.

The 14mm?
-
• #646
not as easy to handle as one of the dinky new f2 lenses
what do you mean by that?
-
• #647
I’m being an idiot and confusing it with the 16mm, which is the one I have. I just always think of it as a 24mm.
-
• #648
It’s just more cumbersome and not quite as balanced on the x pro body as smaller lenses
-
• #649
Yea I do wonder how people get along with the bigger lenses on that small body.
Maybe you get used to it. -

23mm F2 is tiny, adds hardly any size to the camera, F1.4 is quite a bit bigger but feels nicely balanced.
F2: camera will sit on a flat surface on its base plate.
F1.4: camera will want to rock forward to rest on the underside of the lens.
18 is the best Fuji lens
