  • Love the date display on this. Bit too large for my tastes but if they do a 38mm version later...

  • Longines announced a PVD version of the Legend Diver with new movement. Not sure what I think.

  • I think that I love it but i'm not sure. I could hate it.

  • I'd have to see it in person. They're beautiful watches but PVD can look a little odd if it's not done right...

  • Hour hand isn't chode enough

  • First scuff on buckle of new watch. At least that's out the way now.

  • Pls show examples. (OptiChode)

  • PVD for something you are going to use just strikes me as stupid.

Rimowa do a "Stealth" version of their Topaz range, where "stealth" means "will look shit really fast if you ever actually use it. My (presumably) "non-stealth" version is already developing a patina from being shoved into over-head lockers/wheeled between rows of seats with the odd caroom.

  • 20% off eBay purchases in the 'Fashion' (and Home & Garden, Sports & Leisure) category, which 'Jewellery & Watches' comes under. Code: PAY20LESS

  • PAY20LESS

    Max discount £75 :(
Was hoping for a couple of k off of a Daytona..

  • I don't get the Dayton thing. So many better looking chronos. This is of course my opinion entirely. But to go from the Daytona of old to the Ceramic... jeez. They were just so much better.

  • Faux patina hit's a new low...

  • It's iconic, beautifully proportioned, extremely well made and seems to double in value the minute you buy it if you can get your hands on it..

  • Ah yeah, just saw that :/

  • Fake patina

    Fake Aging

    Horrid!

  • Yes, totally agree that the Daytona is iconic. This is beautiful. That ceramic bezel is naaaasty.

  • I don't disagree that the vintage Daytona's are more delicately balanced but I really love the look and feel of the new one.

I'd be tempted by a 116520 as well but, considering they're going for ~£11k at the moment, when they were no more than £5k new, I think they're at the top of their market right now.

I'm sure i'll be proven wrong...

  • iirc it's because the original movements were made by Zenith which caused a supply-chain issue, and consequently The Waiting List.

It proved successful so they continued it.

I will say I totally changed my views on it after seeing on someones wrist in a meeting - it just works, kinda like the way a speedy does. Whereas away from Instagram irl I think those vintage patina GMTs look a bit shit.

  • OG Daytona were manwell. Just liek my seagull cheese homage. (Still ticking)

  • I hope they were practically giving it away, in that state it isn’t worth more than £2000- £2500 IMO

  • I was looking at it last night, there’s a 36mm bronze version which is total sex

  • This is super nice. Sorry to bring up Seiko again but it really takes the Alpinist in a much better direction.
