Will probably be too short (nowhere near enough post inside the frame) but you're welcome to it if you want to scavenge spares from the clamp (silver, not black). I have roughly the same inseam, but top of my saddle is about 760mm from BB axle, with 175mm of seatpost carbon showing (not incl. clamp topper) at the leading edge of the post. PM me if you're interested and I'll measure it properly and take some pics.

How’s the bar attached?

Welded directly to the steerer, a bit like this:

a bit like this
Not very much like that. The Gitane has a hole in the front of the head tube, the Argos just has droopy stem with a bit of supplementary support at the brake centre bolt. It's easier to see with this obviously experimental aero or die set up

And here with no tribars, the stem is in front of a normal head tube, not poking through it

Here's a better view of Fignon's Gitane with the stem attching to the steerer between the two headset bearings via a hole in the head tube, and an even clearer view of Hinault's version

@mdcc_tester thanks for the highlights, I didn’t know.
Both solutions sound sketchy! -

Both solutions sound sketchy!
Argos is just a home made version of the bayonet fork found on various Felt, Look, Argon18 etc. bikes. The Gitane method has been used a few other times, notably by Walser for Nicole Cooke at the 2008 Olympics, and the Walser-derived Focus Izalco Chrono

Thanks Lukas, that's much better research than I managed conduct and what a lucky find at the NCC. The mechanic who works there did say you'd always find something that you want there so I was thinking of going myself but it's perhaps lucky we both didn't end up bidding up the price of it!
I would be interested in it if you were looking to sell and don't need it yourself as the topper/head bit of mine is a bit mangled. I have a 31" inseam so it'd be close but could work out just right..?
