  • really pleased with last nights run, 3x5k all done under 20 minutes, and all run in super controlled form, just as I'll try to run Brighton, trying to be as efficient as I can.

    now off to the Cornish coast for the final week of training, so most sessions will be done to HR and time rather than pace, as trying to achieve marathon fast speeds there would be unpossible!

  • Good session! Cornwall will be lovely, don't go twisting any ankles or anything. Additional hill training won't do any harm at this stage, pretty sure the quads get more activated late into the marathon as fatigue sets in.

    I still had Tuesday's MP session in my legs last night but managed threshold miles on the track (5 x 1600, 30 seconds recovery) all in 5:25 - 5:26 on my own, 11 miles total. May have a run-free day today, just a few A-to-B bike miles to keep the legs ticking over till tomorrow morning's 10k.
