Nomos
They're a German micro-brand that got heaps of praise from, Reddit, the watchsnob and hoodinkee. Essentially for offering in-house movements with original design at ultra-competitive prices. (As opposed to just repackaging mass market movements with some faux heritage marketing). They now also make some much more expensive models.
You'll definitely need to try the Club on before you buy as it has quite long lugs, so doesn't necessarily wear like you might expect it to. Because of that, if it works for you I'm sure you could get a good deal 2nd hand from someone who didn't try it on first. Personally I love the way it looks... just not on my wrists unfortunately :(
Bremont got quite a bit of backlash from the internet for over-marketing a while back, and just generally being a bit expensive for what they are. I've just always thought they make quite big watches, but otherwise look nice.
The new range of Oris watches seem to have been pretty popular the last few pages. The 65's are also nice because they've sacrificed a bit of water depth (only 100m) to make them thinner.

@JB @radar Cheers for the info! I’ll try to find a nomos stockist to showroom it... really like the black/dark grey faced ones but keep going back to the white with pink (?) numerals with orange second hand...
the Bremont display was next to the Tudor so I tried a vintage look diver that was smaller than most others, it was nice but £1000 more than the Tudor and very obviously ‘vintage look’...
I’ll check out Oris - cheers again all!
I'd not heard of Nomos before today - are they good? I like the look of the Club ones... I'm after a new watch and so far the Tudor BB 36 is winning but I know very little about watches... other options I've looked at are (all 36mm ish) IWC pilot, Hamilton Khaki Field, Bremont something (are Bremont rated by people in the know?) finally a speedy 'reduced' which I felt was a bit too thick on the wrist... am I missing anything obvious?
Cheers in advance!
