Managed my biggest training session to date last night, 18 miles total, including 4x (1k @ 95%MP, 5.6k @ MP) = 16.2 miles @ 5:45/m. So just under 14 miles inside target MP. Biggest achievement was completing the second half of the session on my own as my training partner (pb 2:27) drifted off ahead, and overcoming the demons telling me to give up on the last lap. Not forgetting the routine 16 mile round trip on the bike to get to Battersea. There's still some hard training to get done between now and the taper but I'm very pleased to bank that one.
Yeah, I'm up for Battersea on Saturday. Will do some relatively moderate mile reps tomorrow and very easy run Friday, so should be able to give it a decent crack. Should have a decent club turn-out I think.
