Did some tweaks to the parts and changed the tires so I can use this one the road. Haven't ridden it yet, but sure look forward too!

Why don't you get an older 26" disc frame that you can fit fast 650b in?

Looking to buy a second hand XL Arkose (geared). Not too bothered my year/model (colour too, I guess)

Anyone selling? Not had much luck on eBay so far. Where else would one look for second hand bikes, any other forums I should be aware of?

you could get frame only for £260 from evans then build up with secondhand parts or using a comparable donor bike maybe?

edit - thought I read it was carbon / alu mix, but can't find that now. Hmm.

The Sora builds include a carbon fork while the Claris bikes use an aluminum model, but both have the exact same features and tire clearance.

Looks pretty good IMO. Ride the gears to death then put a cheap hydro group on it.

That was my plan when I bought a Genesis CdA a couple of years ago. The Claris is still going strong...

Oh look Rob English actually makes nice looking bikes also.

Until you realise how great it is and it ends up being the only bike you take out! Slam it and put huge tyres on it for maximum fun

Did you go for the frameset or a full build?

If you've got it in hand already, the specs are probably printed on the axle. Pitlock FAQ has dimensions & thread spec.
