We did something like that in 100mi on Tenerife the other week but the missus was not happy about it. I could barely keep the hire bike front wheel on the ground at some points too so not great. If I was going solo I'd totally smash the 200 route but I have to consider the missus (apparently, sheesh!). Maybe I could sneak out and climb it or I could just wait until another trip can be planned and I can do it then. No super rush to climb it - I've already done 33% bullshit in the Lake District and this trip is meant to be fun for her less sufferfest.
Yup, Winnats is on your 200km route, near the C of Castleton, heading west after 175 km.
That route goes the ‘easier’ north/south way down Mortimer Road/Strines, same as the TdF. The twistiest section between 50 and 55 km is Ewden Bank, a proper climb going the opposite way, known locally as ‘Deliverance’ and where I saw last year’s TdY. It’s a great descent for you, though take it slow after the two 25% signs, as it’s not hard to miss the steep sharp right at the bottom and end up in the woods - hello Tom Boonen in the ToB.
That’ll be a great ride... just the 4380m of climbing.
