Apparently has a military marking on the back, not mine and priced a little dear for something not guaranteed working. What's the rough value?

Looks re-chromed (base metal / brass case). Seconds hand presumably doesn't reset to zero.

I'd say maybe £250 if it is ex-issue. May say "Patt 3169" to the rear or similar.

Thanks. The auction house had £420 opening and £700-1000 estimate, but it was passed without bid. Agree with your comments. It looks too new overall but then it was only one photo. Didn't get a chance to visit the auction house today as it's on the other side of town.
