Time Trial / Time Trialling / TT

I've never had the want/need to shower after a race. Either riding home, or will change into dry clothes before hanging around HQ and driving home.

With much swearing, I've managed to get into a skinsuit, alone, in the front seat of a car.

Don't think I've ever showered at a race. Wet wipe and ride/drive home is my normal modus operandi. Definitely changing space, toilets over showers.

More lavatories. For changing I have a Robie changing robe (in black, naturally, makes me look like I'm a hunchback conducting a black mass) but there's really not much of an alternative to a lavatory and queuing nervously before dashing to the start is unpleasant. Other than sufficient loo facilities, all I'm after is a cup of tea and some cake, with a roof over my head. But ultimately the HQ is not a factor in my decisions on which races to enter. A nice HQ is the cherry on the icing on the cake.

Pavement up to the hq, so cleats don’t get stuck with mud and you can ride up! And more friendly steps.

Enough parking, so local residents don't complain about people parking around the area and then have a cry and ban your courses?

Yeah mate.
I only mentioned the steps as I nearly went head over cleats the other weekend.

Definitely more toilet capacity and good ventilation.
Somewhere to change. Doesn't have to be anything special but a clean floor is a nice touch, and a bench to sit on is a luxury.

Agree with the showers notions. At the only HQ in South East district with the facilities I always have a shower. But I am more often than not the only one out of 60-70 riders to use them.

There's nothing worse than coming back into the HQ when one of the last riders, and having to get changed with all and sundry crowding the area trying to look at the results board. So a clear distinction between the two areas would always get a thumbs up from me.

Yorkshire dc have withdrawn their support for a race on the v (presumably good Friday) as they don’t want to antagonise the highways agency mid negotiation...

People losing their shit as they wanted to have a(nother) go before it gets banned.

It's for the whole year, not just one race.
