My newphew bought a new car recently- he transferred his insurance to it. He was selling his old car privately and I asked him about insurance. He was going to take a chance for any test drives etc. I told him to wise up and phone his insurance and see how much. £27 for three days was the price. That’s the option he took. He was able to extend it if he needed but thankfully the car sold in day one. He got a £10 rebate.
No insurance is 6 points and fine. But the insurance company will hit you ten times harder when you renew with a no insurance conviction. -

Yeah, then do that. Just ask them what their cancellation policy is.
See if you can get it done in 14 days and you should be within cooling off period then!
