Do 6-bolt hubs ever need facing?

Brand new Hope E4, brand new Hope rotor and a brand new Son 28.

I had to swap the hose and bleed port from one side to the other so have bled the caliper, but the pads run very close to the rotor and rub for about 300˚.

As best as I can tell the rotor is true, so I can only think the face of the hub isn't.

Suggestions as to how I can gain a bit more clearance between the pads and rotor welcome.

Not to my knowledge, too much oil in the reservoir perhaps?

Perhaps a different rotor might be worth trying, not all rotor are trued out of the package.

I didn't know that could be a problem.

I was careful to fill it to the brim and roll the diaphragm into place, following these instructions from Epic Bleed Solutions.
