I've used JRMC for many years; from what I can see of Roon, it's like JRMC on steriods for more cash.
Roon does look nice but not enough for me to shell out $500...

I'm not sure it will stay ahead of the competition for 4 years either, which is basically what it takes to justify the lifetime membership.
I'm probably going to keep going with the membership for a while and weigh it up though as it does so many things the household has needed for a long time and easily too. Plus I can move the licence between households and libraries when I need to. It's incredible how all the little details add up to such a nice piece of software, like iTunes could easily be this software but can't be bothered.
Anyone else tried Roon? It kept appearing on the horizon when I was looking at Sooloos systems and I decided to try it for 2 weeks. Fair warning it's very good so a trial is probably going to lead to wanting it.
Basically improves on iTunes in every respect, if you have a large collection and want bit perfect output it makes it all happen with ease.
