That prefect explains why I think you're wrong. It was an astoundingly great race. I'd swap any mountain top finish for that

MSR is beyond me. 7 hours of virtually nothing year on year, then 10 mins unpredictable racing. It's Meh compared the the other spring classics. If it were a grand tour stage it'd be recapped by one of those episodes where Boardman rides a penny farthing and eats some regional dishes.
