Less air! I run Schwalbe ones at about 80 tops. They’re still very fast and I’ve never lost grip. 110 won’t be any faster, it will just feel it due to road vibration

Fatter tires, less air. Thread will only help off road, on road slicks are safer. That said maybe it's a matter of confidence, everything will slid on a damp drain cover.

Been riding over winter on 23mm and now 25mm Schwalbe One slicks at about 110psi on a c.7.5kg Cube road bike. I never feel confident down hills with even the slightest bit of water/grit on the road. Went out in the cold this morning and the rear slid out instantly on a damp drain cover. Do I need more tread? Less air? More bottle?
