  • I think Miche just decided one day to label everything jis, because it happened to worked fine :-)

The new flanged 107 Miche bb looks like it could be a rebranded Tange or something (pretty much a Shimano copy).

  • The new flanged 107 Miche bb looks like it could be a rebranded Tange or something (pretty much a Shimano copy).

Could be, it has that thing where it uses a casette tool to fit/remove. Pretty unique to Miche and maybe Campag isn't it?

  • Yeah. it probably exists under other names with different 'ends' and things printed on it.

No problem though. Shimano, Tange and Token are all pretty good. The og Miche bb not so much.

  • I used before my Aventon Cordoba ( 405 mm chainline) 107 mm sunrace bb + Miche Primato 165 mm crank well. I think it will work my new Pompino frame. I search lot of infos what type is correct the 420 mm chainline. I found examples 113mm 111 mm but 107 mm works fine. How it is possible? Some chainstay different?

I think the clearence on the pic looks fine. The crank arms dont flex sidewise. I have omniums on my Pompetamine. I had to use a spacer and a file to get some clearence. I have ride them for about 6 month now with no issues. And the clearence is about 1mm.

Edit: And my chainline is 42,5 so no issues there either...

  • sounds good. I will try this setup, and write result.

  • I can confirm that, when it comes to chainline, sram road cranks with a chainring on the inner position gives a good approximation of a 42mm chain line plus plenty of clearance on my pomp.

  • Also, here's my pomp part-way through some early testing of setup for fixed bike packing adventures...

  • forks look classy.
but wait you have a pompino and a pompetamine?!

  • megadibz if its a medium and you wanna get rid of it after all this chainline saga..;)

  • Grand. That fork looks pretty close to the og dimensions. What is it?

  • Yeah! Indulgence... Pomp is fixed for commuting and winter miles. Pompetamine is ss with 650b*42 tyres as a fun 'mtb'.

If I ever get rid of either I've got you in mind!

  • It's actually from a cannondale CAADX, this one: https://www.cxmagazine.com/cannondale-2013-superx-caadx-cyclocross-bikes-disc-brakes
I think it's a couple of mm longer but the rake etc is the same
