  • I'm new to discs and need some help/advice on replacement pads.

The bike runs 105 11 speed hydro, so what should i be looking at? What's the disc equivalent of Swisstop Pro BXP's?

    Cheers

  • Standard pads.

If you want more power, go for metal pads instead of resin and last longer, but they're more on/off and wear rotor out sooner than later.

Honestly, even the shittest disc pads outshine the best rims pads, just get either Shimano K02S (resin) or K04S* (metal).

*please be sure that the rotor is compatible with metal pads, also these pads are compatible with the RS505 flat mount calipers which I presumed you have.

  • Having said that, you did prompt me to look into the Swissstop Disc 34, but still think it's a lots of money for little gain compare to going from normal to swissstop/koolstop rims pads.
