I’ve heard of the scheme but decided against it. My just turned 8 daughter races bmx and loves cycling so we splashed out on an Islabike beinn 26 - she just fits and it should last her ages. Lots of scope to put on longer stem , seat post etc as she grows. Between 6 and 8 is tricky fit wise as a bike with 24” wheels may be the size to go for. It might be worth doing the scheme to see if she likes cycling and investing further down the line. V good resale values on Islabikes. I’ve pimped my daughter ‘s with a king headset already!
