Any obvious reason why Audi A6 are super cheap on car wow at the moment?
1.8 TFSi Avant £26k, for example.
Asking for a friend. I'm quite happy with the big Skoda.

Nice. That's a good way to finish off your journey with that car.

Re. my question about jump starters a couple of weeks ago, thanks to those who responded. I ended up getting one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074V69Y9C/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stvpv2_1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_p=1671752047&pd_rd_wg=x0E86&pf_rd_r=MYQFERTYG39NBQFT6B40&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-bottom-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B074V69Y9C&pd_rd_w=abn67&pf_rd_i=db+power+jump&pd_rd_r=bf08f458-2649-4b65-a80c-a260556461b6&ie=UTF8&qid=1521192683&sr=1
and am now wondering why I didn't know about this kind of magic before. It came with a 35% charge, plugged it in and it was at 100% after a few hours. Hooked it up to the dead battery on my jeep (sitting through the cold snap for a few weeks without being driven), turned the key and it started straight away. Charge had dropped to 96%.
Sorry if this is old news for you lot but, for someone who has zero interest in cars other than that they get you from the proverbial A to B, this is the best £80 I've spent.

Looks like a great thing to keep in the boot
-
• #41259
Looks like you can keep it charged by the car as well?
-
• #41260
It'll fit in the glove box
-
• #41261
Apparently it holds its charge for 3 months

• #41262
Well you've just sold that to me! Definitely need something like that for the MX5
-
• #41263
Long enough to forget about it and find it empty when you need it. If it can stay plugged in, it'll always be ready to go

Ha! Reading that name brought back such strong memories of watching BTCC on tv as a kid in the 90s. I was more of a fan of the Warsteiner E36 and Tarquini in the Alfa 155, but remember the Volvo estate storming onto the scene too.

I remember watching those estates race on TV. I just looked and I think they only used them for one season? Amazing how memorable they remain, 20+ years later.

Especially in fire-breathing DTM form. My dad had an Alfa 164 V6 lusso at the time, which I also loved.

Weird how much they stick in the memory. e.g. We need a new oven in the flat at the mo, and I find myself mysteriously going for an AEG, I think mainly due to them sponsoring the Sauber endurance racers in the 90s.

Stuck on M stickers bought off ebay? It's a no from me....

Sure they unstick just as quick.

Friend has one of the original 155 race cars, the internal cage is a work of art. Currently still being straightened after a well photographed off a few years ago.

About to leave london in a bit.
Looks like I might buy boxster that costs less than a steering wheel change but does have 25% less road wheels. I decide next week when I work out how to get the car to a body jig or the body jig to the car. Need to see if I can make money selling it. Or how bent the car is.

Which is what the front of my saab is like after hitting a deer at 60. Intercooler, aircon condenser and various bits later I should be back on the road. Anyone got a front bumper in 303 colour? Probs not.
Old pic, although the car is still with me for the moment.
