unlikely but does anybody have a old/broken/new 7 or 8 speed with a 34 tooth lower gear hanging around in the spares box?

Its to experiment by bodging the 34T outer ring onto the back of 7 speed thats lower is 28 but that's quite cheap. Ta

So, do you just need the 34T sprocket?

Yep pls. I assumed folks wouldn't have individual sprockets anymore as its been a long time since freewheel sprocket changing days.

What make of freewheel is it you've already got, as there may be compatibility issues.

I'm going to attach the outside/back of the existing lowest cog with bolts and spacers as I have a lot of room from the edge of the freewheel to the spokes, something like 9mm.

I might have something suitable, but it may take me a day or two to find it. Leave it with me and I'll get back to you. Not sure your plan is going to work, but you never know until you try it.

Just searched through all my old freewheels and can't find a 34T sprocket. The biggest I've got is a 28. I was sure I'd got one of those MegaRange things, but can't find it. Sorry to raise your hopes. Good luck finding one and making your project work.

I think I've got a complete 7s cassette with 34T sprocket - MegaRange it's called.

I can check the details if you still need it.
