Antares support stand? Then you don't need to take the front or back wheels.
If you take a beater bike you won't need a box. Just wrap the frame in a CTC bike bag.
Remember to unhook the mech!
Ok, this is a long shot, but does anyone own a Ritchey Breakaway / Dahon Tournado / other bike with a S&S Coupling that they would be interested in renting for 2 weeks at the end of June? Ideally something with a 54-56cm top tube (I'm 182cm).
Basically I'm training for an event in July, but have to take a two week trip to a Fijian island in June where there are no roads and no gym. My solution is to try and take a bike in a suitcase and a portable trainer, such as the Feedback Sports Portable Omnium Trainer.
The bike would be used for nothing other than sitting on the trainer in a hotel room.
