A-C length? Clearance for big tyres? Where did you buy it?
-
• #3130
no worries - my wife hasn't ridden hers outside yet due to baby so you're the test dummy :D

Hahaha reprepreprep
These handlebars are ‘top shelf’ mate.

Ooooh nice! About to order my one of these (in yellow). Hoping to divert the thread away from hideous Teutonic design 'progressions', can you share any feedback from first rides etc?
-
• #3133
I TRUSTED YOU!
Then again, its for my girlfriend so if they break, I'll be fine

395mm I think, apparently 700x2.1". From them direct. Chap called Steven has been emailing me, very helpful too

They make with or without the fender mounts on the leg.
Apparently they supply Fuji and Whisky with forks

Standard CX a-c?
-
• #3138
Only just seen this. So is it 385 or 398, how are they normally measured?
-
• #3139
I dunno what's standard but I'm not too fussed

Drawing shows 27.5 x 54 with the listed 350mm radius, no? I very much doubt you'd get a 700 x 2.1" in there with that A-C length and that deep a crown.

I haven’t looked too closely at the drawing to be honest. Just going by what the sales guy told me

Normal stem + Specialized hover bar = moderate saddle to bar drop?
-
• #3144
Great, now I want one.

ANyone want a brand new set of wired WTB Nanos? 700c £15 for the pair
-
• #3146
How the fuck do you install shifters on the hover bars
-
• #3147
I think the bottom deck/stem are mounted to the rest of the bar like shifters are, making it a 2 part item and allowing shifter placement.
-
• #3148
I think they have proprietary shifter mounts as seen on their 3d printed prototypes...
Either that or you need to pry open your shifter mounts and bend them back to shape. That bike is an absolute LOL.
-
• #3149
I was told by my friend who works at Canyon that shifter bosses are already on the bars with some adjustment range, so you can ditch the ones that came with your shifters.
But still there are so many issues with this thing
How do you place the lights on?
If computer mount is on the lower deck how do you use the handlebar bag designed by topeak for this?
And imagine what pain in the ass is to wrap these bars. -

No stack or reach adjustment, seems like a medium size comes with an effective stem lenght of 70mm.
Who on earth needs flexy and non-ergonomic bars on 42mm tyres?
Ha!
