Where’s your money?
It’s wide open and Sagan is always the easy pick when there’s so many potential winners. Last year showed once again how nobody will work with him at the finish. He chose to pull and Kwia got the win as a result.
Demare is looking particularly strong this year. I’d fancy him if it comes to a bunch kick.

Didn’t kwito do a metric ton of work up the poggio to force the move?

• #15254
Nah. Just managed to bridge then sat on a lot.

Kwiato is ace. Fact.
Sagz is ace. Fact.I have no idea about MSR, isnt it the longest race to be decided in the final 10?
-
• #15256
Thanks for reminding me a) not to bother putting the race on until it’s 10km to go b) watching it in Italian.
Kirby couldn’t identify Kwiatkowski ffs.

The whole point of MSR is the long build up to the crescendo, you have to watch it for the last hour at least, just to see the tension ratchet up.

He couldn’t identify his own arsehole.

That's cause he is too busy talking shit about wind turbines, solar panels and generally being xenophobic.

propable can after 300k 🤭

I’ll gladly watch Paris Roubaix and Flanders from the start because occasionally the riders in the break are in the decisive moves. Like Hayman the other year.
Not sure what there is to be gained with MSR.
And that’s from a man who loves Test cricket.

"who's going to go first?"
"Are the group done or will he get caught?"
"He's gone, he's on his own!"
Or
"He's got company!"
Or
"This group don't want to take (sprinter) to the finish" -
• #15263
I enjoy watching the tactics unfold as much as anything, so it’s interesting to see who is fighting for position as the approach the climbs, which teams are trying to make it hard to shed the pure sprinters, etc.
Saturday will be interesting as both Sky and Quick Step lack a sprinter who can win a bunch sprint, so will they be looking to animate the race in the last hour?

Quickstep do have Viviani no? He won’t be a favourite but he can win those! They’ll be riding for Gilbert mostly but if Viviani can stay in touch...

Came here to post that. The most knowledgeable writing on cycling on the webz. Present company excepted.
Look forward to being among the #armchairds sharing their wisdom on Saturday.

Viviani’s best finish was 9th last year, he’s a good rider but I think the distance is a bit much for him, especially with his previous track focus.
Watch him win now.

Surprised to see Cavendish in the Dimension Data team for MSR. Thought his broken rib would rule him out for longer.

A prize fighter never stays down. He's like a pitbull really, always up for more abuse.

Great news for Lizzie, hope she can come back and win worlds in yorkshire as she aspires to.
I bet it'll be someone completely different who'll win it. Neither of those two. :)
