Does anyone own a Canyon?

Considering a new bike and something more aggressive than my Roadlite which I feel I’ve outgrown as I’ve got fitter and is getting on a bit generally (2013).

Initially thought that the ‘AEROAD CF SLX DISC 8.0’ looked good at £3599, but looking at the availability, it’s ‘sold out’ in several sizes, rather than providing a date, so I guess that it’s not available any more.

Anyone have the ULTIMATE CF SL DISC 8.0 AERO (£3249) or similar spec?

I bought the frame set and built with Ultegra, I have hope 25 wheels.
The bike is really great. I absolutely love riding it!
The factory outlet is worth keeping an eye on.
Also if you can hold on for the sale it’s probably worth doing.

Love it. Totally works, allows both a short head tube slammed and an upright riding position. I think the double bar concept is especially elegant, aesthetically pleasing... hell, it’s art.

I got short legs that's about 1,5 scobles™️, but I'd guess the large would work with 90mm integ inflite stem

The fork has a chamfered steerer so can only be used with the gravel cockpit. You cant use the 1 1/4 Inflite cockpit

Canyon are either making loads of money, or are about to go out of business. No sane company would release this from the depths of hell unless they were desperate or careless.

Making matters worse is the fact the Grail comes fitted (depending on size) with one stem length and one bar width. There’s no option for changing it during the ordering process, and buying a replacement would be costly.
Canyon has known this from the outset, so the sizes were chosen to fit a “standard” body shape and size. The medium Grail I rode came with a 440mm-wide bar and a relative stem length of 75mm, but if you fall anywhere outside of “standard”, you’re basically stuck

Canyon will sell the Grail CF SLX as a frameset (including Hover Bar), for US$2,530 / AU$3,700 / £2,350. An aluminium version – that uses a standard cockpit – will arrive later.
