Plenty of other outcomes:-

A NIP with no actual follow up.

6 points on his license, where he probably already has 9 but is allowed to keep driving by the courts as 'he needs his car'.

etc.

I meant they are the only circumstances in which I personally would apologise. Otherwise I would take him to court myself for endangering my life and a child's.
I'm fed up with people going around acting like cunts.

I read it as the child was filming it as they drove along and JC spat at the camera.
I like JC but you need to be a special sort of cunt where your thought process leads you to this.
Spitting is assault right? its only football mate....
