And I imagine it delivers it for more than 250rpm

By adding seated heat elements? No I was more concerned the seated heat element would just set the seat on fire because I've seen people just go to a scrappy, strip some elements out of a car, and then fit them to a seat that never came with them in the first place. Eg MK1 MX5 now with heated seats!

Ah, the heated elements are usually, from 90's volvos, like this (will insert photo when I find it) so the whole this is a sealed unit, till the connector which is outside of the seat. So the only ball ache was taking the seat apart without damaging the foam or material. Worst for this was old leather seat as the material was brittle.
How about cooling seats? :)

Modern seals don't dry out. Oil leak in that area says gearbox if it is from the drive shaft. Keep a eye on the gearbox fluid level, if you can, as going low will fuck the gearbox.
Where is the oil leak from? (Trace is a pain, stick a clean cardboard under the car, oil will leak on to the cardboard so get an idea where the leak is from so easier to start a trace) Is it the correct boot? Has the boot been fitted correctly? Has the boot failed?
Has the correct gearbox oil/fluid been used?

Hola
I'm looking at cheap estates, to abuse as a builders van looked at a few E39
How low can it go? Random internet picture nothing to do with NHIMG_4490 by Sparky Mark, on Flickr
SilverMy 2ps worth, if I had the spare cash I'd buy and sell on. 1500 is cheap. Look at what else is available in that price bracket on the market near London.
The injector not 'kicking in', is not anything important. Cold snaps usually have diesel going waxy, this is solved by different additives in the fuel at the refinery to cope for different ambient temperatures. Note sellers honesty. If there were a bigger issue, the issue would have lasted for longer that the time for the preheated diesel to clear.
Something to think about in have good value this is -self leveling rear suspension. Gearbox fluid replacement is not a quick or easy job for the DIYer Needs special tools to draw out and refill the gearbox. Easy if you have the equipment and a ramp ;) Look at the cost of the fluid and how much is needed. It is not cheap. All this being done before sale...as I said the price is mates rates and whom ever get it will be looking at years free trouble free motoring.

If you were that way inclined, they go pretty damn low and the SLS cars utilise an adjustable rear arm to change the ride height by tricking the airbag spring.
£1300 for KW V1 though...

Webasto auxillary heater is original, changed to electric in 2003. 1.6fsi (the first try for Audi, has lots of reliability issues, 1.4 petrol some issues, prices on those a bit lower. The OSS is nice to have, even better if working, fortunately mine does. Extras put premium on prices.

£1,000 for all four wheel arches, £1,400 including the bonnet.
Body shop would waxoyl the other rust prone areas at the same time.
However, after speaking with the body shop I’ve got a list of said areas to check- the “immediate walk away” being inside the rear arches.

Hmm, wonder if that means subframes etc. Are affected? Yeah, walk on by.
Pretty reasonable quote to fix though, problem is that if the seller too easily drops his price you wonder what else is hiding. -
• #41146
It is pretty reasonable, surprising they are so close to London.

Legacy needs an MOT, can anyone suggest a garage in SW London/Kingston/Sutton area?

I've always been really happy with my local independent in Kingston:
http://jcfcarclinic.co.uk/Not a scooby specialist mind.
Is the webasto original fit or OE.
Seem to be a few A2 around that are cheap, that have been badly repaired (for those that don't know all aluminium body work) glass sunroof not replaceable (highlighted by scully scrapping his A2??) Lots with knackered engines. Like the 60mpg tho... people seem to keep hold of them drive them till no longer economical to repair then buy another.
