One of the gripes from the WHAM fans (to the board) is that the stewards are provided by the venue (rather than the club) and that they know next to nothing about stewarding football matches.

Isnt the provision of the stewards by the venue part of the shoddy legacy deal that saves wham shitloads of money but taxpayers have to subsidise

Probably. The board have saved a boat load of money but the fans get shit stewarding (which can really screw up the match atmosphere, even without pitch invasions/etc).
