Pinnacle Ramin 1 2017 @ £540? It's fully rigid but at this sort of pricepoint suspension forks aren't all that great - barely functioning boat anchors at best. It essentially puts the money saved on the fork into the drivetrain and brakes

I also got one of these and it's great. Forks work really well.
This also looks good for the money

Calibre Gauntlet might be worth looking at too.
But yea. Bizango.

You can buy something pretty nice for £550 second-hand. Try Pinkbike classifieds.

That was similar to my budget when i started looking... The Bizango i think is the best for the money around that price, Vitus Nucleus looks like a nice alternative and Boardman's tend to come well spec'd. I went for a Pinnacle Iroko in the end and paid about £600. That was with a mate's discount but would of been similar to cysclescheme if i'd used vouchers. If you can use vouchers then it opens up the market for Marley/Sentier/Iroko etc. All my MTB mates warned me cheaper bikes are a false economy and i'm glad i listened, with a 1K bike you'll be done with a dropper and tubeless. Hardtails are great, i chuffing love mine.

Second hand Cotic soul.
I've decided to buy a hardtail Mountain Bike, budget £550 or less, might use it to commute on and the occasional club run and a blast round "The Lookout" any suggestions where my money should go, quite like the Trek Marlin 6 cos it's orange, or the Scott Aspect. Ta.
