They aint gonna do anything major with them for a few years, I imagine.
Current ones were fairly recently updated and are the 2nd revision of the new form factor. Some people have issues with the new keyboard, so a revised one will likely have new buttons. Power-wise, get the most oomph you can reasonably afford.

Said it up thread but we have a few 13 inch absolute base spec machines from 2012/3 and they more than hold their own for even fairly complex editing tasks. Only faff is screen real estate but if you're plugging into a display then that's no bother. The new 15inch models are dead fancy but sound like overkill. That said, if you're trying to keep yourself future proofed for 5+ years like your last model then maybe it's worth the big spend now. Or half cash and half credit or something?
So where are we in the Macbook Pro release schedule? Are we expecting huge ramp ups in power etc soon? I need to get something ASAP...
Will be getting a discounted machine through a friend, what processor will I be OK with? I don't particularly wanna bang out ~AU$4000 when I could spend a bit less... Was thinking 13" but 15" has much more grunt... Thoughts?
Used for Creative Cloud, a little bit of video as well as design stuff, lots of Logic X... Gonna be plugged into a Thunderbolt display when it's at home...
