I like them too, gets kids active and into cycling, and all the raucousness is just a bit of harmless fun really.
Have chatted to smaller groups of kids, they’ve been interested in my ‘fast’ bike, I’ve asked for wheelies and they oblige.
They literally meet up to go ride bikes, that’s awesome. -

I think they are a general force for good, they get a new generation into cycling and more than likely a number of them will end up on here. The attitude is inclusive and positive. I wouldn't necessarily like to be cycling around them on my nicest bike without due warning but I even think it's good to have a bunch of total nutcases riding around to keep drivers on their toes, a couple of encounters with these guys and it might get drivers to keep more of an eye out for the rest of us. And they can only make non-bikestormz cyclists look better in comparison.
The difference between these guys and the Lucas Brunelle wannabies is that these are teenagers, & they're doing what teenagers of the last few generations have all done. Many of us were running around on bmx's, skateboards and doing frankly stupid and dangerous things when we were young. That's the whole fun of it.

I think we all get tarred with the same brush though. Some teenager swerves in front of a taxi, swears at the driver and wheelies off and 5 minutes later the same taxi driver is angry and does a punishment pass on an unsuspecting commuter.

I doubt this happens. I have always been punished for my deeds even riding in group in lanes I deserve it though, how dare I ride 2 abreast in country lanes where there is hardly any traffic?!
srsly tho Bikestormz are heroes in my eyes. If they were a charity I'd donate money to them. Some of them charge £5 for a selfie so maybe I'll just do that.

I think even the most jaded cliché of a cab driver would differentiate between Bikestormz & the rest of the cyclists they also hate. No doubt there is a discussion about bikestormz on some taxi forum somewhere as we speak. I'm sure it's been a hot topic.

They're probably saying at least they're not as bad as the helmet-cam YouTube brigade.

Cars quite often drive at me on the wrong side of the road. If I have a clear view of them for 30 yards and pedal slowly towards them and there's a collision I doubt that Herts police would find me blameless.

Yeah so I was just riding up past liverpool street with two absolute fucking whoppers riding bikestormz style up in front of me, blasting out music, all over the place, pulling wheelies. Failed to stop for a pedestrian crossing and one of them literally shoved a pedestrian out of the way.
Shouted at them they ride like cunts.
That one was also wearing a hi vis jacket like what the even fuck.

Passed a group on the Embankment just now switching between the main carriageway and the cycle highway.
When they were in the main carriageway, one very grumpy looking taxi driver stuck his hand out his window to point at the cycle highway and they responded by giving him fist bumps as they went past.
The way they ride is insane, but there's such a joy in it. I found myself laughing at their tricks. Really good stuff.

Came across winter bikestormz on Saturday afternoon at Oxford Circus after returning from Swains Lane with Bernie, plenty of shopping peds and tourists with their phones out, was quite a spectacle being surrounding by so many kids pulling wheelies swerving about in heavy traffic, all the way down to Whitehall. Props to #bikestormz
I am starting to think this wheelie kids thing is a really good thing, and hearing other cyclists whine about them is making me spit.
I rate them. The other day these tiny pair were riding down Lee Green Road and getting shit from a I Am Become Death driver, so the bigger one was flipping the bird and generally standing up for his space in the road.
So I went around them, pulled down the window and asked him to do me a wheelie. High fives and mad props all the way through Lewisham.
