Shit - that’s bollocks - I’d have made sure the cabbie helped me keep hold of the bin man and given the dibble a call to come and take an RTA report.
Either way I’m almost certain there should be some information with which you can identify the bin man- rota, designated area, etc, but I guess that relies on the council being forthcoming - did he not have an ID badge or some kind of license of some sort?
