Whatever keeps your heart warm during this difficult time of the year Mike.

I know it goes against The Rulez of this thread, but given you have no affinity with the city of Liverpool whatsoever, why don’t you just switch allegiances to a team that a) you have some affinity with and b) might actually win something?
It’s only fucking football after all.

b) might actually win something?
Does that mean you are giving up on Arsenal?

Eh? I’ve been a City fan since my days of watching them from the terraces of Maine Road whilst at university.

I was out this evening and so missed the football. I came home looking forward to reading Corny’s analysis of the match.
Is The Guardian on strike?

TBF I watched about 15 min of the second half and Spurs had Juve shut down. Battering them.

It’s a shame but yeah, this.
Looks like we’ll get another go next year and there are other things to focus on now.

Let's hope that is indeed the case. The CL last 8 is no place for Man Utd's dull brand of football. It's a shame Tottenham got knocked out but could you imagine if Kane had scored that late goal. We'd be hearing about it everyday until the world cup.

A world cup that England will surely win with Hotshot Harry in the team.

Serious ?: Now Joe Hart isn't at city, did you rate him?

Reading the guardian, as corndog was clearly slacking, I note that someone gave Alli a kicking and their game dropped. Is that really right?
-
• #141499
Not wishing him ill but he’s due a good kicking.
Spurs do have the tendency to get a bit snide when behind. I guess yesterday there was too much at stake to get overly cynical, which would indicate that they follow Pochettino’s instructions to the letter.

He got completely wiped out when about to break and looked a bit dazed afterwards. I don’t think his game dropped particularly but that was about the point that Juve closed up.
Juve probably should’ve had a man off for the stamp on Son, that was the only really nasty foul.
Countless more. But it gets me through the bleak winter months to emerge in spring with a smile on my face
