In the absence of any interest in my pompino I've made fuck all progress in this, other than messaging everyone in the wanted ads.
Had a few more ideas re other parts, these SRAM cranks are a good length and 1x, but I'd need to get a replacement chainring. Ideally just need a 170mm pair of cranks to fit a BB30 bb, that will accommodate a nw chainring. Would work out at 60 with a JL ring of eBay which is pretty good for a new crankset
Shifters since I only need the one I'm tempted by a bar end shifter unless I can find a set of apex/rival shifters at a good price, as the SRAM mechs are fairly plentiful and cheap. What is the consensus opinion on bar end shifters?
If I can free up a bit of money freelancing, I may try lacing up my own. Something along the lines of DT Swiss R460 to shimano hubs, but this might be a 2nd version thing.
About the only thing I have money for at the moment is paint. Heading down to my parents at the weekend who's garage will make a decent spray booth, just hope BLB have the colour I'm looking for in stock.
Now to decide what that colour is, trying to match the orange above.
