Cheers but it's not really winning me over. A bit too much text in multiple colours/styles on the dial.

Was watching commando again the other day, his digital- analogue combos Seiko has always caught my eye.
Which has got me thinking about what else there is that similar as the Seiko H558 is a bit too much for me. Casio seems to have done some similar things such as the MLW-200.
what else is there to look out for thats affordable?mI was watching a rather battered Chronosport UDT poorly listed but the seller took it down last minute, presumably as there were no bids.

Just to let everybody know, I've not been hiding I had a catastrophic tech issue that locked me out of my own email , lost all my passwords and meant I was unable to access my own account on here so have had to start again hence the @ejay2.0 . But is the same me , same seiko prejudices!!
If anyone has sent me a message this is why I haven't responded. -

Got hit with nearly £70 customs charge for the SARB :(
That puts it at close to £400. FML. -
• #26258
Oof, bad times.
Always a roll of the die with customs. -

Life’s to short to cry about these things. If I don’t love it, I can always return it.

Speaking of £400, this arrived yesterday. Ocean black 39mm - fits me much better than the 42mm.
Obvious 'homage' is obvious but steinhart continue to knock it out of the park in terms of build quality. Now to get the cyclops removed....

I forgot my watch when leaving the house on Monday, cue days of staring stupidly at my wrist multiple times per day before realisation hits and I have to pull my phone out of a pocket.
D'oh!

in other news, the insurance has paid out the full amount for the watch! (they're not on the bike but they are on the watch...)

^^^ I actually prefer the cheaper non ‘57 railmaster. I’ve tried both on and the non limited one felt far nicer, to me. I realise the ‘57 is a straight replica of a 60 year old watch.

• #26272
^Agree. The anniversary issue is also quite a lot easier to obtain, or was anyway.
-
• #26273
Don't I know it!!
The 57 Railmaster anniversary is also fetching more of a premium than the Seamaster 57 as well which is surprising . Currently fetching circa £1000 over list. -

Thinking of getting something like this for the SARB...
