  • Now calling CNN and chatting mad shit too!! I think he might be drunk

"Robert Mueller thinks Trump is the Manchurian candidate".

  • NUNBERG: "Do you think should I cooperate? Should I spend 80 hours going over my e-mails, Jake?"

TAPPER: "If it were me, I would. Just asking my opinion. Because it sounds like pain. But he is the special counsel and he does have the long arm of the law."

  • An interesting list (of things missed because of the incredible Nunberg performance)

    (This stuff is endless...)

  • Yeah, I particularly enjoy the Mitt Romney story.
Quite recent, and makes things extra awkward.

  • The Stormy Daniels saga rumbles on.

Seems likely her full story will emerge soon (or at least she's not letting it die down).

Quite funny... Give the basis of the complaint that the agreement is null and void is because Trump didn't sign, that might put Trump in an awkward spot... Will he have to acknowledge it?

  • Rather clever. He's got two choices - concede that he didn't sign it but try to argue that it's still valid, or admit that he signed it, which opens up another whole can of worms.

  • While some lament the loss of a pro-trade and anti-tariff voice, others (in the FT comments section) highlight the most likely motivations of a former vampire squid second-in-command.

It was always obvious Cohn was not going to stay for long. His key motivation to take a role in Trump's government was that he was able to sell all his Goldman stock (and other related investments) at once tax free. Nice return on one year’s work.

  • that all makes sense, but his departure just contributes to the further instability and chaos at the white house

  • Boom, and there was always gonna be something happening to allow him to claim the high ground.

That's why he's in the big bucks and I'm posting on a cycling forum.

  • But which one of you is happy, eh? Eh?

  • Seth (who else?) expounds on Madame Stormy

    https://twitter.com/SethAbramson/status/971409119981776906

  • I'm bored of this Seth guy. All his usual posts are long threads claiming with absolute assurance that Trump will be impeached and executed - today! He's a bit hysterical.

  • yeah, so fun at first.

  • It's weird that you can set up an NDA between a detached/unrelated shell company and a person you want to shut up. Could be great for blackmail purposes.
Say you're the first person to find out about a politician having a child born out of wedlock, perhaps before that politician even knows about it himself. You then splurge out some cash and set up an NDA with the mother. Later on you can use the existence of that contract to blackmail said politician.

  • Yeah I have some sympathies, although dogged persistence - while gathering facts and evidence - seems to be the most predictably reliable weapon over the long term when trying to fight against people that use the dark arts to manipulate and mislead. Parklife.

  • If this is Cohen's standard NDA for Trump and it gets ruled invalid, how many others are out there?

  • Good question. It would be amazing to see an avalanche of them come rolling in.

  • Fox got Trump's divorce lawyer (both divorces) on to talk about the NDA. Didn't go well.

  • Sounds like the presenters were a bit disappointed with that answer.

  • so does trump just enact the tarriffs bill without any say by the legislature
seems like if he tried to get it through congress it would fall flat on its face
    #democracy

  • Why do you hate freedom Dicki?

  • Good question. It would be amazing to see an avalanche of them come rolling in.

It could (and probably should) happen. NDAs seem to function more through inflating fear of massive financial and reputational cost to the gagged individual than anything else.

  • LOL

  • So Trump is going to meet Kim.

This could be his second term election mandate.
