You seem genuinely surprised that MTB branding is not subtle by nature.

It's not what it used to be ;-)

I could send you a reasonably well-rattlecanned Fleegle and a 25.4 stem for postage if you want to try them?
-
• #11130
That's very kind. My inner insommniac had me poking around the web at 4am and I ended up ordering the OGs. (And some tyres. They were on clearance)
-

I keep dithering about the OGs for my Kona. I think I'll wait until the inevitable clearance price slash
-
• #11132
I'll post pics when I install them. If I don't get on with them, you can have them for a clearance price.

Salsa Salt Flat
Yeah I have looked at a number of the Salsa bars and the Surly ones too.
The Surly Sunrise ones are amazing looking and bang on for width and sweep. But they are £75 RRP vs. $60 in the US. With exchange rate that's a 50% penalty. Fuck that noise. I have two Surly bikes that I love, but their overall pricing here in the UK has gotten completely out of whack. I'll be in the US in a couple of weeks - will have a look around to see if I can find any while I'm there.

Soooo... there is a Surly dealer less than a mile from my hotel. They are ordering in some Sunrise bars for me to collect in mid April.

For $60 you'd be crazy NOT to.

I know most that use this thread a running hard tails but if any of you buy a new bike and want to get it wrapped I wholeheartedly recommend this place:
Nick whose business it is, is a lovely guy with an extremely high level of attention to detail and offers a tremendous service.
Quite a way away up in Bury but worth shipping to in my opinion.
Over the moon with the finish of my bike v

Hi Tiles!

I’m in South Wales these days so needed to take/send it somewhere.
Invisiframe didn’t have a kit for my frame as it’s a new model. I also found them thoroughly unhelpful and after which would never give them a penny of my business.

What happened? I gave them money, they sent me a kit.
-
• #11149
Yeah, like I said they didn’t have a kit for my generation of frame.
They wanted me to send my frame at my cost, have it for two days so they could design a kit for all future customers and fit to my bike. Then I had to arrange return shipment at my cost. They were willing to defect 10% for this wonderful service.

My bike is a YT Capra. Not two a penny but hardly thin it the ground either. I see a fair few riding up at BPW
They have hideous graphics, if that helps.
