  • I can recommend the 4S disc. Went from ribble audax to this, also with the idea of building a do-it-all kind of bike and it basically does.

I've since built a fancy Bob Jackson for riding on nice days, but the Kinesis gets way more miles - commuting, weekend rides etc. Here it is in summer commuting guise:

  • While I have some Michelin Endurance 28c lined up, must admit I've been looking at gum walls because of your build. Looks great in its current form.

Are those AliExpress bottle cages or originals?

  • Cheers! Its current form isn't quite so sleek, full mudguards on it now (SKS Longboard 45s I think?). I wouldn't recommend those particular gumwalls in anything other than perfectly dry smooth road. A couple of weeks after this pic was taken I got 4 punctures in one ride on the Vittoria Corsas, each time was rolling over a slightly damp patch of Herts lanes and picking up tiny little flints. Enraging.

Oh and the cages are definitely not genuine. No way I'd spend £80 or whatever it is on the real ones. Aliexpress ones have held up well though :)
