The future for Demon Frameworks is a move into making gravel bikes. !!

Finally finished this. It is a bike for someone with achondroplasia, which is a form of dwarfism.
Everything is a pain in the arse with these, normal tubes are too short in the butt, hence the carbon. Getting calipers to clear at the back requires lots of bending. The cranks had the wrong chainline for ultegra so needed machining, and so on and so on. Anyway, its all done now, except fot the custom mudguards. Which I snapped. YAY BIKES!

Great work dude!
You’ve managed to make a great looking bike despite all the difficulties you’ve had to work around. So good that there are people doing this sort of thing.
Chapeau to you. -

Unfortunately it is still really expensive, especially as we end up having to use lugged carbon.
I'm looking at the feasability of designing a frame and having it made in the far east to try and make an affordable bike that fits properly for people with achondroplasia, as there just isn't anything available. Both the people I have built these for had to use childrens bikes before, and they just don't fit.

Saw this on Instagram this morning. I love the fact it's a custom bike that has a real reason to be made (and not just a treat / indulgence), yet it's still very much a Talbot and a very cool one at that. Top work.

isnt that how ritchey does it?
-
• #142
It is the ritchey kit, well at least the bottom. Binned the top bit and then just cut the seat tube in the same pattern. It's quite a nice system, it can twist in use, but shouldn't do any damage.

Ah i didn't know i thought they did one that all linked together in a different way to those couplers
-
• #144
Awesome! How was it made? Looks to be in two pieces?

Although I own a mapp torch, I'm no builder and shouldn't be writing here, but I told Winston (Vaz... @skalliwag on here) I'd post the stem he just finished for me so maybe he could show some of his work in the future, as I'm sure he would be a great contributor on this section of the forum!

Very nice. Who did the drawing? Looks a bit pro.

Too pretty for an engineer, I'm going with some sort of designer ;)
-
• #149
Was me.
For the frame Winston built for me few years back I did a CAD drawing but this time I fancied doing a hand drawing. And yes, designer... -
