4/5 remind me of those alphabet blocks for children:
Not sure whether or not you're going to take that as a compliment or not. I like it though, it's fun and matches the grumpy cat logo a bit more.
Edit: to quote your original post re. branding
it should be somewhat of a playground to make fun stuff
Edit: it would be good to see 5 on the downtube to see how the rotated letters sit. They'll be (nearly) horizontal/vertical rather than 45 degrees.

I like the slopey letters too. Mirrors said mogs diagonals...

5 is too Rock Lobster.

Been having the rotated letters in the logo for a good while before starting to show stuff, and I like it, especially on the bike. Joachim doesn't like it, and I've come to terms that it's too Rock Lobster-inspired and moved on. One of my favourite bike brands.
@frankenbike: Yes, good point about the fun bit. I do think that the cat should nail it, though, and the logotype should be a good support instead of making it too much.
Lots of good feedback here. Thanks all.

Been two slow weeks as I've been flat out with the flu.
But just got the masking decals that a colleague cut for me, so soon ready for paint.
Edit: I also sold the chunky GX crankset and ordered another one. Pics later.

Good those cranks looked like a choad.

Agreed. Bought the whole group ridiculously cheap with trade price, and the rest looks okay.
Now I've ordered this one – it also seems to be pretty good value, and much sleeker.

Huuuuge improvement. Really looking forward to this if it’s even 1/10th of the crux.

Masked the split and applied the masking decals today. The plan is to hand it over to the painter tomorrow.
Currently changed colour to another Land Rover green. Afraid that the bright green from page one won't give enough contrast to the titanium. Still time to change my mind, though.

The painter turned out to be a bit unreliable and suddenly wanted me to pick up and pay for the paint. So instead I decided to paint it myself, so Joachim and I will give it a go this evening. Had the paint shop mix the color above on a rattle can and will top it off with a 2k clear. Hopefully it will turn out good enough.
Also, the crankset showed up today, which was a nice surprice, since I was warned that it would be delayed until the middle of May after I ordered it.

Very happy with the colour. Here's some more pictures from the process. Primer and base coat was easy enough.

We decided to peel off the logo decals before the clear. It's not going to get good adhesion there, but the areas are small, so we went for it. Think it would be better than peeling the decals off afterwards and risk damaging the clear coat.
I've never clear coated a frame before, so was a bit nervous. The booth is also quite small, so had to use one hand to rotate the frame and the other to spray. The 2k rattle can worked well. Did one misty coat first, then went for it on the second. Got a pretty good shine to it – of course some areas could be better, but overall happy with the result.
Now I can't wait to build it.
