I have a Royce freewheel hub, has wierd gold dustcap things with no obvious way of removing them. At least, I had no clue how to remove, so I sent it to Cliff (I needed a small repair to the axle).
Mine’s a 36 and I have no huge desire to swap for a 24. I’m just keeping it for the proverbial rainy day.

No worries. Yeah, I know what you mean. I was going to attack it with spray grease if all else failed, but figured there must be some way of getting in there! Thanks.
Hi all
Looking to swap some of my lower spoke count hubs for something similar in 32h. Can add/subtract cash for condition/value as appropriate. Essentially interested in most quality/durable road hubs eg DT Swiss, Royce, etc. Would also consider DA7600 (poss in 36h for this).
Here’s what I have:
24 hole DT Swiss 240s Front Hub - a few scratches/dinks on one side of the flange, but otherwise good condition.
24 hole Royce Rear Hub - Freewheel threaded, need to check if 126mm/130mm spaced - needs regreasing (which I can probably do if it’s an issue), but otherwise good condition.
Let me know if interested.
