Depends if the beast feels defensive or not I suppose - the place looks pretty magical in your shots.

I don’t think so. I’d hope not anyway. There was a huge herd, all happy to stay sat down and grazing with our presence. We were very quiet and kept our distance, big chap was just wandering past, didn’t seem to mind us being there and we only stayed a couple minutes. :)

Had a wander around the Tate trying to get a picture for the competition. Played around with a bunch of lenses, but always come back to the 23mm.

I have a question - I'm going to Singapore and Malaysia for a study trip in a couple of weeks.
I've promised to take pictures for our report.
I have Nikon D700 and I'd prefer to just bring one lens - but which one to take?
I have a 28mm f2.0 AIS, a 35mm f2.8 AI and a Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.4.
Any input is appreciated. -

What are you taking pictures of, and what lens are you most used to using ?

I expect it to be kind of general reportage - documenting the companies we visit and other activities.
I've used the 35mm and 50mm the most. -

Only just catching up. Wonderful fox pictures by WillMelling. The mallard shot is amazing.

35mm then ? Unless you're going to be doing a lot of low light / night shooting in which case the 50mm ?
I don't think it's going to matter too much.
Great page, love the duck, car park, sheet and icicles especially
