Hiya, what size do you reckon for the front rider and rear/stoker please. Also are you based in London? Cheers.

Based in SE London. It’s small-ish. I don’t think they came in different sizes. You’re welcome to come and have a look.

Thank you, I’m out of town so a bit tricky. Was just wondering if me as ‘captain’ @5’10” and stoker @5’1” might make the grade. GLWS if that all sounds infeasible.

I’m 6’ 1” and my partner is 5’ 5” and we rode it - it was really cramped but possible. I imagine you’d be much more comfortable.

OK thanks - I’ll now have a chat with my partner and see if I’ll be considered mad or not. Will update after that conversation. Ta.

No problem. These are old bikes, more suited to a poorly around town than a tour. But cheap fun. I’m just a bit too tall to even pootle on it.

We have one of these too at our community workshop. Brakes can be scary. But indeed fun for about town pootling.

Brakes are indeed scary - pads on shiny stainless steel rims... Totally inadequate for riding fast in traffic, I'd say. I bought some leather brake pads to try and resolve that but never figured out how to install them.
I rode down quite a big grassy hill with Mrs Sparky on the back, with dew on the ground, and she was screaming at me to stop. I was trying...

I’m out. I’m not considered ‘normal’. GLWS

Ouch. No worries.

I'm not sure any brakes would stop you 'down quite a big grassy hill with Mrs Sparky on the back, with dew on the ground....'
As ever....tandem and madness combine....
I want one.....

Would a drop to £250 tempt anyone?

Bump, and a drop to £225
-
• #15
Bump because we’re moving house.
£150?

Great find. I've owned this a while now and it's in frequent use.

My gf and I tried a tandem around a car park once and she vowed never again...🥲
Anyone fancy this for £225?
