Same story here, hands and feet cold and wet despite wearing the winter outfit. Lobsters ordered.

Just did a begrudging PX order. Forgot to put lobsters on it. Balls.

PX or BIG Carnac logos! Dithered, but thankfully didn't have my size. Got Hirzl ones from eBay for £18, bit more subtle.

Good shout, just ordered them. Got Hirzl summer and autumn weight gloves and Shimano Pro winter ones. The latter did sod-all once wet yesterday, hopefully these lobsters will help...

Stuff like their padded wheel bags are excellent value, even after the tax of advertising such an awful business.
Will look up Hirzl. TK Maxx had some padded ski XTM gloves but a size too small. "£120" rrp down to less than £25...but instant warm when I tried the small pair on. That's what I need for the Raynauds.

I have no idea if they are any good or not! Also Rapha ones down to £45 atm.

Tried to ride but was faced with heavy, freezing sleet. First time I've suffered from colder legs than hands/feet. Bailed with a total distance of less than 20km. At least I tried!

Yea, but, Rapha...
Best so far for warmth have been a vintage pair of Invicta ski gloves. A little bit Michelin Man, but dextrous enough... leaves only the problem of waterproofing. Hence looking at the TKMaxx ski stuff. Missed the boat on the Jan sales though.
@alialias maybe need a rain skirt thing?

Attempted the Downs Link from Guildford to Shoreham-upon-Sea on Saturday, on a single speed with skinny tyres. Not a good idea, ankle deep puddles, a lot of rear wheel spin meant it was incredibly hard work. Gave up at Horsham and got mud all over the Gatwick Express train to Clapham. Good fun but definitely one for the summer!

Glorious day for a ride! No gloves no jacket it felt like summer!

A good day to HTFU.

Glorious day for a ride!
^^Very much so - 37 miles in the sun. I even had to take a few layers off mid ride. Even the head wind on the way home wasn't that distracting...

Great ride today with Bernie, a few hills, crispy cold but bright and dry, many layers, lobster gloves, sealskin oversocks :))))

Nice ride out following the Bowman Cycles Big Bridge Little Bridge route. Further East than I normally go and hadn't done the specific route before but quite a few parts of it on other rides. Can confirm 3 things:
1) Vigo Hill is an absolute bastard
2) The cycle lane beside the M2 where it crosses the Medway is cool.
3) Fitness isn't great.

Went north of the river (shock horror) for an Essex loop to White Roding (fnar). Pleased to report that all puddles and lakes frozen and everyone in the Essex countryside has a horse box and loves a good close pass.

You can fuck right off with your lovely bicycle, your lovely gravely roads, and your lovely sunshine! ;-) My attempts at an interesting ride: link together lots of Mews, I do like a good Mews. https://ridewithgps.com/trips/20813070

Another odd ride: The Victoria Line. Well why not. I love the fact that bicycles take all sorts of people to all sorts of places and encounter all sorts of stuff. From the beauty of @pascalo 's rides^ to a shouty woman on a bog wall, little sculptures, and lovely old shop fronts.

Hard Day in January. Replacing punctured inner tube with hands that cold. 1/10
Cold really set in. When i got off train in London I'd had the journey to dry off and warm up but my teeth were chattering while I was still in the station. Stuck a Metro in my jersey for the extra wind break on my chest.
