Looking for a clean setup for a usb charger with SON hubs and light. Is cinq5 the plug III any good? Not entirely sure about the USB plug integrated to the headset cap...

Thx Seems like a really good value for money for sure...although it's ugly af.. I love the SON headlight but the price and the additional USB charger solution make you reconsider ugliness....

I was considering creating a y shaped connector for near the son front light with banana plugs.
The idea is it can be installed and used with the Igaro USB charger when needed. Otherwise the whole igaro can be removed and the y shaped connectors too for a clean installation.

If I had two wheelsets, one with a son hub and one with SP are the fittings interchangeable?
ie could I have a bike set up and cabled and swap the wheels around with ease?
-

I think SON use spade connectors and SP uses a little plastic clip. You could probably quite quickly swap them.

cheers

Or you might even be able to split them so you could use either connector type.

Banana/bullet clips on the fork with a small section of cable coming from the hub to the bananas/bullets.

I use axa blueline 50 lux and usb2byk. Total cost 60euros without hub and im really happy about it after an intensive use

Anyone after a cheap dyno-hub wheel for 26"or 700 could do worse than buy one from Decathlon
Thirty quid for a full wheel. Admittedly its not going to be ace (single wall rim, cheap spokes), but for that price you'd struggle to get the hub most places.
I just ordered the 700 version for a pub bike. Going to collect on the 14th. So romantic.

That is crazily cheap!
I'm actually considering a bottle dynamo. Don't judge me, you don't know me!
Seemingly this:

Is on a par with a typical hub dynamo in terms of power output and has a very neat cantilever mount.

I think these look interesting. Let us know how you get on with it, if you go for it.

I have that AXA and would not recommend it to a friend. I might recommend to a foe: plastic cover on top of the light was rattling out of the box, I had to shim it; it's doesn't seem very well built, and it's not very good at charging in my experience, however that might just be to keep phone at a steady percentage maybe?
Mounting bracket broke after a couple of weeks' use
It's the second AXA I bought after the first one broke in the same way... I am not a clever man.
TL:DR, Next build, I'll go for a B&M or SuperNova... -

Zip ties and leccy tape ftw

Yeah I’m starting to think that obsessing about concealing everything is all a bit ... poncey. It’s just a fucking bike.

The more work you put into it, the more annoying it will be when you inevitably have to move it all.

No spare SP disc hubs lying around in anyone’s parts bin are there?
-
• #1148
Yeah, but it's attached to 32 spokes and a rim :)
-
• #1149
Is it still spare? :)
Your useage is a bit more than most so don’t tell me it’s done one ride because that could be 5000km -
• #1150
Yeah, well the new bike doesn't have QR so I can't use it. It's only done two rides... one was 6700k and one was 4000k ;)
Like two people already said before. You just needed a picture eh.
