If he has enough endurance to get on the podium in a hard, attritional race like that, where he did more than his fair share of work, how will he go in future coming off a dedicated road endurance training program instead of a cyclocross season?
I guess it will be hard for him to hold form through to Flanders and Roubaix this year, but he clearly has the ability to win a lot of classics in future given what we saw today.
